Škoda announced a package of Elroq and Enyaq model-year changes in March 2026, with rollout scheduled from the middle of the year. The changes include a new Android-based infotainment platform, extra storage and revised assistance features. For buyers comparing stock cars, the production date now deserves as much attention as the registration date.
The company says the new infotainment platform is exclusive to newly produced vehicles. That matters for existing owners: a feature shown in a newer car should not automatically be expected to arrive as a download in an older one. Ask the retailer to confirm the hardware and software fitted to the vehicle being offered.
What it means for buyers
Other announced additions include a 21-litre front luggage compartment, Vehicle-to-Load capability and enhanced one-pedal driving. Digital-key functionality is being introduced gradually and depends on compatible devices, services and software. Availability therefore needs checking for the particular car and market.
The sensible approach is to list the features that actually matter to you, then compare the newer build with any discount available on earlier stock. A lower-priced older car can still be attractive if those additions are unnecessary. A newer registration alone does not prove that every model-year improvement is fitted.
