Subaru's UK electric-car plans now cover the Uncharted, E-Outback and a revised Solterra. The line-up broadens the brand's EV offering and includes a notable change for buyers used to associating Subaru with all-wheel drive: the Uncharted is being described in both front-wheel-drive and dual-motor forms.
The UK preview lists a 77kWh long-range front-wheel-drive Uncharted alongside a dual-motor version and a smaller-battery entry model. Subaru labels the range figures on that page as manufacturer estimates, so they should not be treated as independently measured results or substituted for the final order specification.
What it means for buyers
The front-wheel-drive option could interest buyers who want the shape and packaging but do not need a second motor. The all-wheel-drive version is the more relevant one for somebody choosing specifically for traction or a particular towing requirement. Those needs should be checked against the actual derivative's approved limits.
Subaru still directs interested buyers to register for updates, so confirm UK pricing, availability and delivery timing with a retailer before making plans around a particular model. The expanded line-up gives the brand more ways to compete in electric cars; the next useful comparison will be final UK equipment and how each version fits the journeys its owner actually does.
