INEOS has revised the Grenadier and Quartermaster for the 2026 model year, with changes aimed at everyday usability as well as off-road work. The January announcement identifies the steering as the most significant update.

A new variable-ratio steering box is intended to give a tighter response around the straight-ahead position, while revised steering stops reduce the turning circle by about five per cent. INEOS also describes upgraded climate-control components and a quicker way to silence the Intelligent Speed Assist warning.

What it means for readers

The company introduced a Black Edition at the same time, based on Fieldmaster equipment and announced from £71,995 on the road. That price should be distinguished from the commercial model's advertised figure excluding VAT; they are different vehicles and different price presentations.

For somebody comparing an earlier Grenadier with a newer one, the steering changes are a strong reason to try both rather than rely on a shared exterior appearance. A test should include faster roads and tight parking manoeuvres as well as the terrain the vehicle is bought for. The announcement establishes the engineering changes; their effect on personal comfort and confidence needs judging behind the wheel.
