A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi there, I’m a Brighton-based guy with a lifelong love for the sea and the open road. I’ve carved out a career in marketing because I love to connect with people, get creative, and help brands find their voice.

Growing up, I’d spend summers sailing around Mersea Island, getting a taste for freedom that eventually led me to rides on my Harley-Davidson in my 20s. There’s nothing quite like that roar of the engine and the open road ahead. These days, I’m settled by the seaside in Brighton, where the ocean breeze feels like a familiar friend.

I’m passionate about what I do, and I’ve built my career on balancing creativity with a straightforward, genuine approach. I’m all about finding real solutions, getting things done, and supporting others to reach their own goals.

Over the years, I’ve also battled with my weight, and in 2024, I decided it was time for a serious change. Reaching my heaviest, I knew it was time to put my health first and get on a path to a healthier, happier life. It’s an on-going journey, but I’m finally feeling good, and I’m excited to share that part of my story with you too.

ONGOING DEVELOPMENT

In addition to keeping up with the latest industry trends, I’m a big believer in continual learning and professional development. Marketing is an ever-evolving field, and I’m committed to staying ahead by regularly undertaking training and development courses. Recently, I’ve completed new certifications in SEO, PPC, and Social Media Marketing, deepening my expertise and keeping my skills sharp.

EXPERIENCE

My journey in marketing began back in 2007, and it’s been a ride filled with creativity, strategic wins, and community connection. From those early days as a junior, I’ve grown into roles where I can lead meaningful change, especially in the automotive industry, where I’ve found my niche.

Now, as Group Marketing Manager at Rivervale, I get to dive into a wide range of projects that really drive our brand forward. One of the biggest projects I’ve been working on this year has been a website consolidation project, which brings together all our services under one roof online, making things smoother for customers and boosting our organic traffic. Beyond the digital side, I’ve loved building community partnerships, such as our collaborations with the Brighton Marathon and Charlton Athletic Community Trust, which bring our brand to life in new ways.

Before Rivervale, I spent time with Birchwood Group and Lind, where I got to launch an eCommerce platform to bring in an additional revenue stream for Parts, Apparel and Merchandise and oversee campaigns for some amazing brands like Ford, Kia, BMW, Porsche, Triumph Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson. Each role has helped me sharpen skills in digital strategy, event planning, and team leadership, giving me the tools to boost both brand growth and customer loyalty.

Looking back, each step has been about combining creativity with purpose. I’m here to build connections and bring a bit of authenticity to the brands I work with, whether it’s through strategy, digital touch points, or local partnerships.
